Drink Green this Earth Day – Over 16,700 Trees Planted by ONEHOPE Sauvignon Blanc Wines
April 22, 2010
Drink green this Earth Day and toast to our planet’s health every day you drink our award-winning ONEHOPE Sauvignon Blanc wines. For each bottle of ONEHOPE Sauvignon Blanc wine purchased at Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market and other locations, American Forests, a nonprofit organization dedicated to environmental restoration, plants a tree in areas devastated by wildfires.
In March, we were very proud to share that over 3,200 trees had been planted from sales of Fresh & Easy’s exclusive white ONEHOPE Sauvignon Blanc label. Fresh & Easy launched this exclusive wine last Earth Day and last year alone American Forests planted more than 3,200 new trees as a result of customer purchases. Fresh & Easy’s Master of Wine, Phil Reedman, worked closely with ONEHOPE Winemaker David Elliot to create this blend. The wine retails for $9.99 per 750 ml bottle.

This Earth Day, we are thrilled to announce that over 16,700 trees have been planted by American Forests – a nonprofit organization dedicated to environmental restoration and who has planted trees in areas devastated by wildfires – from sales of both the exclusive Fresh & Easy Sauvignon Blanc and our ONEHOPE Sauvignon Blanc wines. Even further, both ONEHOPE Sauvignon Blanc blends were created with California’s Sonoma Wine Company using sustainable winegrowing practices. The winery is a member of the Sonoma County Green Business Program and the Wine Institute’s Sustainable Winegrowing Program.
Our Sauvignon Blanc is a delicious, crisp dry white with flavors of passion fruit and guava. It’s medium-bodied, smooth and pairs perfectly with pasta. It has a long length and a very refreshing finish. ONEHOPE Sauvignon Blanc Wine is the recipient of a Silver Medal at the 2008 Long Beach Grand Cru International Wine Competition.
