Wine Wednesday – Join the #SauvBlanc Twitter Community Wine Tasting Tomorrow

This is the first post in a series of regular postings on (most) Wednesdays having some fun highlighting wineries, people, events and more fun stuff in the world of wine. Those following us on Twitter may already be familiar with the #winewednesday concept of sharing favorite wineries and people in the wine world with others. We will continue to spread the love on Twitter and will introduce something fun to you, each week, right here. Without further ado, raise your glass to Wine Wednesday! *cheers*

This last February 11th more than 200 people got together on Twitter to taste California Cabernets and share their thoughts as they sipped. The event was called #CaliCabs and was organized by Rick Bakas, social media director for St Supery Winery — great wines by the way!

During the course of the 2 hour #CaliCabs virtual event close to 2,000 tweets with the #CaliCabs hash tag were posted. Wineries who participated were able to connect with new wine drinkers using social media and wine drinkers were able to discover new wines and connect with others in the  Twitter wine community. On Thursday, March 4 we will be doing it all over again during the #SauvBlanc Online Community Wine Tasting from 5pm – 7pm PST. The event structure is largely the same, except this time instead of California Cabernets we will be tasting and sharing Sauvignon Blancs from all over the world with hash tag #SauvBlanc. If you’re on Twitter this is a fantastic way to meet new people with similar wine interests and be introduced to new wineries and wines. Finally, a pretty good use for Twitter, right? We think so!

Those in the western United States can find our ONEHOPE California Sauvignon Blanc at BevMo ($8.99) and Fresh & Easy.  Otherwise, check out our Where to Buy page and give your local store a call to see if they carry our Sauvignon Blanc (some may only carry our Chardonnay, Cabernet, etc., so it’s worth a call before heading out). Regardless of whether you can get your hands on our ONEHOPE California Sauvignon Blanc we suggest you grab a Sauv Blanc of choice or any you can find and join in the fun!
