The Hollyrod Foundation is dedicated to providing medical, physical and emotional support to those living with Autism and Parkinson’s disease. ONEHOPE wine and the ONEHOPE Foundation are proud to participate and donate to such worthy charities and causes.

The fashion show will feature stunning designs by Naeem Khan and a special musical performance by Robin Thicke.

On Monday, July 5^th, the BLACK CARD CIRCLE FOUNDATION created a special event to raise funds for the KOBE BRYANT FAMILY FOUNDATION and the GINA ALEXANDER PHILANTHROPY PROJECT (GAPP). This partnership gives ten underprivileged children scholarships to attend the Kobe Bryant Basketball Academy in Santa Barbara.

The BLACK CARD CIRCLE FOUNDATION strives to raise awareness for IRS recognized not-for-profit 501C(3) organizations that promote self reliance and sustainability. BCCF unites volunteers and hosts charity events with strategic partners like the Ritz Carlton, Hyatt Regency, Tiffany & Co., Microsoft and many other socially conscious organizations.

The star studded reception at the popular KATSUYA brought together celebrities, VIPS, studio executives and charity heads, committed to making a difference in the lives of underprivileged children everywhere.

Guests dined on Master Sushi Chef Katsuya Uechi’s signature dishes of crispy rice with spicy tuna, miso marinated black cod, and striped bass.

The red carpet was overflowing with celebrities and cameras were flashing everywhere. Quinton Aaron, star of THE BLIND SIDE with Sandra Bullock, was signing autographs and snapping photos with adoring fans all night. Tiffany “New York” Pollard from VH1’s FLAVOR OF LOVE was there to support the children. Also in attendance were TWILIGHT’S beautiful Tinsel Korey, Hotel California’s Danny Arroyo and Valentine’s Day’s Jerald Garner. Comedian and MC for the night, Ben Morrison from the PUNK’D series had guests laughing and begging for more.

Over 300 guests including celebrities, supporters and fans alike sipped on ONEHOPE wines and award winning cocktails made with fresh juices including Burning Mandarin and Katsuya Fresh. ONEHOPE Wine in Arizona Sprouts Farmers Markets for the Fight Against Autism

During the month of May, join ONEHOPE and Sprouts Farmers Markets in raising funds and awareness for those affected by autism during “Autism Awareness Month” at all Sprout locations.

Sprouts Farmers Market employees will be supporting the cause throughout the month by wearing blue ONEHOPE wristbands and ‘puzzle ribbons’ in support of the fight against autism.

Doug Sanders, president and chief operations officer for Arizona-based Sprouts Farmers Market, and his wife, Cindy, know the affects of autism firsthand; their 3-year-old son was diagnosed with autism just last year. “Autism doesn’t just affect families, it is a disorder that affects everyone,” Sanders says. “The services and supports provided by Autism Speaks and SARRC are vital for families and for the larger community as the population of children affected continues to grow.”

Sanders, serving as chairman of the 2010 Arizona Walk Now for Autism Speaks, is throwing the support of Sprouts Farmers Market behind the walk with a corporate walk team. They hope to raise over $100,000 for the walk in Tempe, AZ on October 31, 2010.

Nationally, Autism Speaks uses proceeds to advance family services through grants and free online tool kits, research into the causes and treatments for autism and advocacy projects that will improve the quality of life for families affected by the disorder. Through Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (SARRC), dollars raised support programs that benefit the local autism community in areas such as research, school outreach and vocational and adult programs. Autism Speaks hosts 80 walks annually in the United States and Canada; Arizona is one of two markets where Autism Speaks collaborates with a local partner.

“The partnership between Autism Speaks and SARRC helps propel a variety of important programs that benefit Arizona families, including the expansion of the F.R.I.E.N.D. Program, a school-based peer autism sensitivity program, vocational and life skills training opportunities that will help affected teens and young adults build the skills necessary for employment, and research into possible causes and effective treatments for the disorder,” says Denise D. Resnik, co-founder of SARRC and parent of an 18-year-old son, Matthew, who has autism.

According to a study released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released in December, 2009, approximately one in 110 children nationally are affected by an autism spectrum disorder; in Arizona, one in every 100 children are affected. Autism is a developmental disorder that is commonly diagnosed by age 3, characterized by varying degrees of impairment in communication and social interactions, as well as restricted, repetitive and stereotyped patterns of behavior. Currently, causes for the disorder are unknown and there is no cure.

In March, we were very proud to share that over 3,200 trees had been planted from sales of Fresh & Easy’s exclusive white ONEHOPE Sauvignon Blanc label.
