Community Spotlight: Meet Raquel

Meet Raquel, a Cause Entrepreneur from New York who first discovered ONEHOPE while attending a wine tasting at a hair salon. After a night of sipping wine and doing good, Raquel left the tasting and knew she had to find a way to get involved.

Discover your why

Raquel’s advice to new Cause Entrepreneurs is to discover your “why” and share it with others. “I am very passionate about what I do. I believe that when you’re passionate and love something so much, it comes easy. Your “Why” is what keeps you going, and when you express that, the people around you will want the same. They will see their why and also say “why not?!” The fulfillment in knowing you’re making a difference and being proud of it is all you need.”

A cause close to home

After signing up as a Cause Entrepreneur, Raquel immediately knew what cause she wanted to raise funds and awareness for which ultimately became her “why.” “My mom passed away from breast cancer at the age of 49. I am older than what she was when she passed. It was something unimaginable and I still cannot process the fact that my kids do not know her. I will always continue to support and do what I can for that cause!”
