GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement that celebrates all acts of giving. It’s based on the idea that people and organizations hold the power to transform their communities and ultimately, transform the world.
On this GivingTuesday, we’re looking back on 2021 as another incredible year of impact. Although there have been many milestones, some highlights from this year include:
Made an Impact on Local Organizations
Our biggest giving footprint is with local organizations, as we’ve now supported nearly 30,000 local nonprofits to date through our fundraising platform. In 2021 alone so far, we donated to over 9,000 local nonprofits!
Built a School with Pencils of Promise
In 2021, we completed construction on our 2nd school in partnership with Pencils of Promise. This school, located in Houay Thong, Laos, will impact 567 students and help give access to quality education. Learn more about our school here.
Supported Equal Justice Initiative’s Community Remembrance Project
We donated over $30,000 to the Equal Justice Initiative’s Community Remembrance Project—to educate on America’s history of racial injustice and help foster meaningful dialogue about race and justice.
Brought Clean Drinking Water to Thousands with charity: water
Between our Harvest Party and March group fundraiser, we donated over $300,000 to charity: water to bring clean drinking water to thousands of people in the developing world.
Funded Scholarships with Organization for Autism Research
We donated over $30,000 to Organization for Autism Research to fund four scholarships for outstanding students on the Autism spectrum. Read more about our partnership on the OAR blog here.
Funded Innovative Research for Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month
In support of Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, we donated over $60,000 to fund innovative research with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.
Supported Mental Health for 10,000 Children
For May and Mental Health Awareness month, we partnered with sipster Goldie Hawn and her incredible nonprofit, MindUP for Life, by helping the mental fitness of over 10,000 children!
Helped Feed Hungry Children
To ensure no child went hungry this past summer, we donated over $58,000 to WhyHunger, bringing our giving total to date to WhyHunger to $550,000+!
Helped Save Lives from Breast Cancer
We donated $25,000 to Susan G. Komen to invest in breakthrough research to help prevent, cure, and save lives from breast cancer.
Partnered with Actress Bridget Moynahan for EBMRF
We partnered with actress Bridget Moynahan to raise awareness and funds for Epidermolysis Bullosa, donating $25,000 to the EBMRF.
Funded a Solar Water Farm
Our Harvest Party additionally raised $100,000 for GivePower to help fund a solar water farm in the developing world and provide clean water through clean energy.
2nd Annual Holiday Magic Grant Program
This holiday season and Giving Tuesday, we are doing our 2nd annual Holiday Magic Grant Program for children with special needs and their families, funding $50,000 in grants to bring magic to at least 20 families.
