Event Inspiration: Rosé All May

May is one of our favorite months of the year for so many reasons. The weather is getting warmer, flowers are in bloom, and bbq season is so close we can taste it! As the days get longer and the cool weather fades away, it’s time to bust out the crisp, refreshing wines like chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, and our all-time favorite summer beverage: rosé. If you’re looking to host a fun event this month, we have the perfect idea for you: Rosé All May Party.

Host a Rosé Wine Tasting Event

So how do you host a wine tasting at home? It’s easy! First, you’ll need to select your wines. For a Rosé All May party, we recommend ordering the four kinds of rosé that we offer at ONEHOPE Wine. While many think that all rosés taste the same… we beg to differ. Each bottle has its own unique flavor profile and nuances that make it different from the next. So why not try them all and do a blind taste test to see if your guests can spot the differences? We’ve outlined the flavor profiles below so you can have a good idea of what to expect!

Rosé Wine Tasting

Rosés We Offer

The four types of rosé we offer include our California Rosé which showcases notes of strawberries and cherries, hints of blood-orange peel, floral rose petal and tea leaf on the finish. This light-medium body wine is part of our Core Collection and is priced at just $19.99.

Next we have our Sonoma Reserve Rose which will taste a bit dryer compared to our California Rosé. This aromatic blend of Sangiovese has hints of spring blossoms, white rose, and juicy berries with a crisp finish. You can get this delicious bottle for $24.99 here.

ONEHOPE Rosé

Our Côtes de Provence Reserve Rosé comes from the most beloved rosé region of France. It will be the driest of the three rosés mentioned so far. You’ll taste notes of ripened melon, juniper, and dried rose while enjoying the silky, dry texture of this delicious wine. Try it for $29.99… you won’t regret it!

Last but not least, if you’re a fan of bubbly, we’ve got the perfect rosé for you! Our North Coast Reserve Sparkling Rosé is a gorgeous blend of red and white grapes, created with the traditional method used in Champagne, France. This sparkling wine has an off-dry taste, and features a juicy palate of watermelon, strawberry, and rose petals. At just $39.99, it’s a bottle worth celebrating.

Send Your Invites

Once you’ve nailed down the wine for your tasting, we recommend compiling a list of family, friends, and coworkers that you want to invite to your Rosé All May event! Pick a date and time that works for your schedule, and design an invite that fits the theme! We recommend a design featuring tones of blush and dusty rose. Make sure you give your guests a couple weeks to RSVP, and be sure to include an email or phone number for their replies!

Pro tip: If you want to make your event extra on-theme, ask your guests to come dressed in blush tones for an insta-worthy photo while sipping on rosé!

Get Your Space Ready

The invitations are sent, the wine has been purchased, now all that’s left is food and decorations! Since you’re throwing a rosé party, we recommend decking your space out with roses galore! Place roses of all shades (our suggestion would be a variety of whites, pinks and reds) in vases and put them on tables throughout your home. You can even cut small pink roses or carnations and tape them to a wall to make a cute DIY photo booth! Buy a pretty pink and gold decorating set (you gotta get a tassel garland) and deck out your space to the nines.

Host A Rosé Tasting

If your guests aren’t familiar with our wines, or rosé in general, we suggest creating labels to hang around the necks of your wine. Print out a sheet with tasting notes and food pairing suggestions to go along with them!

To chill your rosé, we love placing small flowers in an ice cube tray and freezing them for an extra special touch. Place your cubes in an ice bucket and pop your different flowers throughout.

For food pairings, opt for something light and bright to go with your rosés. Lemony desserts, macarons, a nice cheese board with prosciutto and salami, and a summer salad are great options for your party!

Pick a Cause

Last but not least, don’t forget to pick a 501(c)3 charity that will benefit from your event! While each of our rosés support nonprofits that help women, you can pick a cause of your choice where 10% of event proceeds can be donated! Have your order forms ready at the end of your rosé tasting, and let everyone know that every purchase helps make an impact!
